Stepping up in Gucci's range
The G-Frame is Gucci's answer to a specific brief: a rectangular case narrow enough to read as a bracelet rather than a watch, sitting flush against the wrist on a 9mm steel link that continues the case's own proportions. At 6.5mm thick it barely rises above the wrist, which is what allows it to pass as jewellery when the occasion calls for it. The mirrored bezel and mirrored black dial work together, the whole surface shifting between matt and reflective as the light changes. Three diamonds at the cardinal positions replace the usual indices — understated in count, but placed where they anchor the eye without crowding a dial this narrow.

Guccio Gucci opened a leather goods shop in Florence in 1921, and the house became one of the defining Italian luxury brands of the twentieth century.
Gucci's watches occupy unusual ground. Unlike most fashion houses, Gucci produces in Switzerland through its own facility in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and the watches carry Swiss Made designation. The G-Timeless line uses Swiss quartz and automatic movements, and recent references have included in-house-adjacent complications.
The design language is unmistakably Gucci — the green-red-green web stripe, the interlocking Gs, bee and snake motifs — applied to cases that are generally well proportioned. It sits above the licensed-fashion category without claiming to compete with the Swiss manufactures.
