It does not hack and cannot be wound by hand — the rotor charges only through wrist motion — which is simply the character of the platform, unchanged from its origins. The embossed black sunray dial sits in contrast with the fully polished gold-tone case and bracelet, and the combination reads more formally than the 100m rating might suggest. At 12.2mm thick for a 42mm case, the proportions are reasonable, and the three-fold clasp offers micro-adjustment at the fastening itself rather than requiring link removal. The exhibition caseback shows the movement clearly, which on a watch with this kind of mechanical inheritance is worth looking at.
