The grey sunray dial earns its keep in angled light, where the brushed radial finish catches and shifts in a way a flat-printed dial does not. Rose-coloured numerals sit against it with enough contrast to read quickly, and the date window, set on a diagonal between four and five o'clock, avoids the crowding that plagues dials with three sub-dials trying to share the space. At 43mm the case wears large but sits only 11.4mm thick, which keeps it from stacking too high under a cuff. The dark brown leather grounds what might otherwise read as a cold grey-and-silver combination.
