Lorus sits under the Seiko umbrella, and the VD57 movement inside this watch is a Seiko-manufactured calibre — the same group that builds movements for considerably more expensive pieces. That provenance means the quartz engine here is more carefully assembled than the price bracket would suggest, with a reputation for long, accurate service. At 44mm the case fills a wrist with purpose, but 11.3mm of thickness keeps it from stacking awkwardly under a cuff. The black sunray dial catches light differently as the wrist moves, and the red accents on the sub-dials give the chronograph layout a readable hierarchy without becoming garish.
