Rather than opening the dial entirely, Maserati cut a single aperture at six o'clock, framing the Miyota 82S0's balance wheel as a focal point against the black sunray dial. The Miyota 82S0 is a Citizen-made movement, Japanese in origin and well regarded for its dependability; here it earns its keep visually as well as mechanically. On the wrist, the rose gold PVD case reads warmer than the usual steel-and-black combination, and the stamped crocodile-texture leather pulls the same tonal register as the buckle coating. At 42mm it is a confident fit for a medium to large wrist, and 80 grams sits in the bracket where an automatic is felt without becoming fatiguing across a long day.

The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
Movements are quartz and bought-in automatic. The appeal is the association and the styling rather than the mechanics.
