Maserati R8821108025 Automatic Skeleton Dial Rose Gold Men's Watch
Ref. R8821108025
Sits in Maserati’s upper tier here — more premium than three quarters of the Maserati watches we list, which start at £139.
Price range £139 to £325 across 48 Maserati watches in stock. The Potenza collection takes its name and its character from Maserati's motorsport heritage, and the dial makes that explicit: the Trident logo is cut directly through the matte black skeleton, so the movement itself fills the emblem rather than sitting behind it. It is a piece of showmanship, done with some conviction. The NH70 inside is a Seiko-built automatic with a solid reputation for durability and day-to-day dependability, and it earns its place here by offering hacking and hand-winding — useful in a watch where you can watch the rotor settle. The rose gold PVD case against the dark dial and black leather reads as a deliberate contrast, and the 24mm lug width gives the strap an integrated, broad-shouldered profile that adds presence beyond what a 40mm case would normally suggest on the wrist.

Learn more about Maserati
The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
Movements are quartz and bought-in automatic. The appeal is the association and the styling rather than the mechanics.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Yes. At 100m it is rated for swimming and snorkelling, though not for diving.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
No. It is automatic — the motion of your wrist winds it, and there is no cell to replace.
What size strap does it take?
24mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's, though at 40mm it sits in the range that suits anyone.
