Stepping up in Michele's range
The Meggie is Michele's answer to the dress watch that can also be worn daily — a cushion-shaped case at 29mm, sized to sit neatly on a narrower wrist without the self-conscious delicacy of something smaller. The mother-of-pearl dial carries 60 hand-set diamonds, 0.19 carats in total, arranged along the inner ring and at each index: enough to catch light without reading as overtly jewelled. The bracelet is worth attention. The seven-link two-tone construction — alternating stainless steel and 18K gold-plated links across a 14mm width — is specific to the Meggie collection, but Michele has built in a standard pin fitting, so any 14mm Michele strap drops straight in. The butterfly clasp sits flush against the wrist and opens cleanly without fumbling.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.
Will the glass scratch?
Unlikely. Sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness and shrugs off everyday marking.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
What size strap does it take?
14mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as women's.
Cheapest place to buy
Goldsmiths is the only UK retailer we track stocking this reference, so there is nothing to compare it against today.
Who are Goldsmiths?
Goldsmiths has been selling watches in Britain since 1778 and is part of the Watches of Switzerland Group, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. They are an authorised dealer, so a watch comes with the manufacturer’s own warranty.
