What Norqain engineered instead is a layered system — a NORTEQ® carbon composite cage, a rubber shock absorber sitting inside it, and a sandblasted titanium capsule at the core protecting the movement. The result weighs 78 grams on the wrist, which for a 42mm watch rated to 200m is noticeably light, and the grey cage gives it a texture and depth that plain metal cannot replicate. The movement inside that architecture is the NB08S, COSC-chronometer certified and built on a beam-construction framework that distributes shock loads across the skeleton rather than concentrating them at vulnerable points. With the dial entirely open, you can watch that structure work — the diamond-cut indexes and faceted hands are black-plated and lume-filled, so in low light the time lifts cleanly out of what is otherwise a dark mechanical landscape. The rubber strap carries a Milanese-pattern texture across its surface and closes with a NORTEQ® pin buckle that matches the cage, pulling the whole thing together as a considered object rather than an assemblage of parts.
