Norqain Independence Skeleton Chrono 42mm
Ref. N3200.40S01.B01.R01
Sits in Norqain’s upper tier here — more premium than three quarters of the Norqain watches we list, which start at £1,850.
Price range £1,850 to £5,500 across 25 Norqain watches in stock. The Independence collection is Norqain's outdoor-inflected range, and this is its first chronograph — a meaningful step for a brand still in its first decade. The movement at the centre of it is the NK24/1, developed with specialist manufacture AMT and COSC-certified as a chronometer: it runs a column-wheel flyback architecture and carries 62 hours of reserve, which is generous for a complication of this kind. The oscillating weight is cut in the profile of a mountain peak, a detail that reads as genuine rather than decorative given where the collection is pitched. The dial is where the design earns its keep. Skeletonisation is straightforward enough, but the layering here creates real depth — the movement sits behind a black structure that frames it in planes rather than simply exposing it. Diamond-cut indexes and hands carry the Super-LumiNova, so the geometry that reads well in daylight also functions at dusk. The rubber strap uses a Milanese-pattern texture that keeps it from reading as purely utilitarian, and the case, at 49.8mm lug to lug with integrated lugs, sits closer to the wrist than the 42mm diameter alone would suggest.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Yes. At 100m it is rated for swimming and snorkelling, though not for diving.
Will the glass scratch?
Unlikely. Sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness and shrugs off everyday marking.
Does it need a battery?
No. It is automatic — the motion of your wrist winds it, and there is no cell to replace.
How long does it run for when it's not worn?
About 62 hours fully wound — enough to survive a night off the wrist, but not a full weekend.
What size strap does it take?
22mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Will it fit my wrist?
Lug-to-lug is 49.8mm, which suits wrists from roughly 16.5cm (6½ inches) upward.
Lug-to-lug decides fit more than case diameter does.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as unisex, and at this size it suits any wrist that takes the dimensions.
