Stepping up in the same dial colour
The Grove collection draws its name and mood from something botanical — greens that read as considered rather than decorative, cases that borrow from the wristwatch shapes of the mid-twentieth century rather than the round dial orthodoxy that followed. At 23mm wide and just 7.55mm deep, the rectangular case lies almost flush with the wrist, and the gold PVD warms the overall palette without pulling focus from the dial. That dial does the more interesting work: a powdered green at the centre shifts texture as it meets a sunray-brushed border, so the watch changes character slightly depending on how the light catches it. The forest green leather strap continues the tone without matching it exactly, and the gold-plated tongue buckle keeps everything consistent with the case.

Learn more about Olivia Burton
Lesa Bennett and Jemma Fennings started Olivia Burton in London in 2012, coming from fashion rather than watchmaking and treating the watch as an accessory to be designed rather than a instrument to be engineered.
That showed in the product: illustrated dials, floral and bee motifs, applied three-dimensional details, mesh and leather straps in soft colours. The bee became the signature, and the brand found a large audience among buyers who wanted something with a point of view at under £200.
Movado Group acquired the company in 2017, placing it alongside Movado, Ebel, Concord and MVMT. Production and distribution run through Movado; the design identity has stayed recognisably its own.
The watches are quartz and the appeal is the artwork, not the movement — which is a fair description of what the brand set out to do in the first place.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
No. At 30m it will survive rain and handwashing, but not submersion of any kind.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
What size strap does it take?
18mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as women's.
