The ProPilot X arrived in 2019 as the bolder, more angular expression of Oris's pilot lineage — skeletal, large, confrontational. Three years later at Watches & Wonders 2022, the 39mm Calibre 400 version reframed the proposition: the same jet-engine bezel geometry and multi-piece titanium case, but sized for daily wear and paired with what Oris had spent five years building — its first in-house automatic movement. That movement is worth dwelling on. The Calibre 400 runs a silicon escapement that makes it effectively anti-magnetic without a Faraday cage, holds five days of reserve, and is rated accurate to -3/+5 seconds per day, within COSC tolerances. Oris backs it with a ten-year service interval and a ten-year warranty on registration — a meaningful commitment for a manufacture movement at this stage of the brand's in-house development. The sapphire caseback lets you watch it run. At 39mm on a full titanium bracelet with integrated end links, the watch sits closer to a 40–41mm in presence but disappears on the wrist in terms of weight. The smoky blue dial is textured rather than plain, though at certain angles the printed indices read flatter than the case geometry around them suggests.
