The hexagonal case runs 44mm across and 13.6mm thick, finished in black PVD over stainless steel with a fixed bezel detailed by hex-bolt accents at each corner. The black dial carries luminous hands and markers alongside a date display, all protected by a hardened mineral crystal. An 18.5mm lug width feeds into a black bio TPU silicone strap secured with a pin buckle. Inside, a Miyota 2115 quartz movement handles timekeeping, with 50m of water resistance for everyday wear.

Learn more about Philipp Plein
Philipp Plein founded his label in Munich in 1998, initially designing furniture before moving into fashion. The brand built itself on deliberate excess and has been divisive throughout.
The watches follow suit: heavy gold and black PVD plating, skull motifs, dense crystal setting, and large cases. Movements are quartz. There is no attempt at horological restraint and none is intended.
The brand knows precisely what it is doing and does it without apology, which at least makes it coherent.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.
Water resistance explainedWill the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Sapphire, mineral and acrylic comparedDoes it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
Quartz, automatic and solar comparedIs it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's.
Cheapest place to buy
Watch Enclave is the only UK retailer we track stocking this reference, so there is nothing to compare it against today.
