A cushion-shaped stainless steel case at 42mm houses a skeletonised black dial, leaving the NH70 automatic movement visible beneath. The mineral crystal sits above luminous hands and markers, while an exhibition caseback offers a further view of the mechanism. At 12mm thick with a 22mm lug width, the case wears with some presence on the wrist. A black stainless steel bracelet with butterfly clasp completes the watch, and water resistance reaches 50 metres.

Philipp Plein founded his label in Munich in 1998, initially designing furniture before moving into fashion. The brand built itself on deliberate excess and has been divisive throughout.
The watches follow suit: heavy gold and black PVD plating, skull motifs, dense crystal setting, and large cases. Movements are quartz. There is no attempt at horological restraint and none is intended.
The brand knows precisely what it is doing and does it without apology, which at least makes it coherent.
