Seiko Prospex Speedtimer 'Pogue' Solar Chronograph 1969 Re-interpretation 41.5mm Mens Watch Yellow
Ref. SSC947P1
The vivid sunburst yellow dial is the centrepiece here, a direct nod to the 6139 chronograph worn by NASA astronaut William Pogue aboard Skylab in the 1970s. Three sub-dials are arranged across the face: a 24-hour display at 3 o'clock, running seconds at 9, and a combined 60-minute chronograph counter and power reserve indicator at 6. The date sits between 4 and 5. A blue and red aluminium tachymeter bezel frames the dial, and the curved sapphire crystal carries an inner anti-reflective coating. The stainless steel case measures 41.4mm across and 13mm thick, with a 45.9mm lug-to-lug span and 21mm lugs. A tapered three-link bracelet with a push-button three-fold clasp completes the watch. The V192 solar movement offers a six-month power reserve at full charge and times chronograph events to one-fifth of a second. LumiBrite covers all twelve indices and the hands.
