Kuppel means dome in Danish, and the name is literal: the dial on this watch has a gently raised perimeter that curves up from the surface, and the small-seconds subdial at six sits slightly recessed beneath it, so the whole face has a quiet dimensionality that a flat photograph tends to understate. The sandblasted white ground and gold Arabic numerals keep everything in the same unhurried register Skagen has maintained across the Kuppel line. At 32mm and 8mm thick, it sits almost flush against the wrist, and the mesh bracelet — released and swapped without tools via integrated quick-release pins — follows the curve of the wrist rather than sitting above it. The deployant clasp closes with enough solidity to feel considered rather than incidental.
