The cage-like silver dial — cut away in slots to show the movement working beneath — was a deliberate provocation: transparency as decoration, at a time when most watches still hid their workings as a matter of course. At 34mm in resin, it sits very lightly on the wrist, and the illustrated strap is the real character here: pin-up graphics in the kind of colours that read as confident rather than accidental. The strap uses Swatch's own integrated lug system, so replacements need to be sourced accordingly — worth knowing before assuming a generic band will fit. After thirty years in storage, that original silicone may be fragile, and this is more honestly a piece to keep than to wear daily.
