The Seastar 1000 is not a revival — Tissot built it as a clean-sheet sport line, and the name simply states its purpose: 1,000 feet of water resistance, delivered here at 9.97mm thick. That figure matters because most watches rated to 300 metres are substantially chunkier; this one goes under a cuff in a way that a dedicated diver normally will not. The green-to-black gradient dial is doing more than following a colour trend. Against the black PVD case and bracelet, it gives the watch genuine depth in flat light, then shifts when caught at an angle. The unidirectional bezel keeps the dive function honest, and the quick-change system at the lugs means swapping to a rubber strap before getting in the water takes no tools and about ten seconds.
