The Seastar 1000 sits in Tissot's T-Sport line as the dedicated watersport tool — 300 metres rated, with screw-down crown, caseback and pushers, designed to be taken seriously in the water rather than merely near it. The green fumée dial, shading from deep forest to near-black, is the most immediately distinctive thing about this reference within the T120.417 family, where siblings wear the same case and movement but differ exactly here. At 45.5mm with a 51mm lug-to-lug span, this is an unambiguously large watch, and legibility is its reward: the sub-dials are sized so that 1/10-second timing and the 30-minute register can be read without squinting, which is not something all chronographs of more modest dimensions can claim. The 12.8mm case height is genuinely reasonable for a quartz chronograph built to this depth rating, and the downturned lugs help it settle closer to the wrist than the footprint alone would suggest. The ETA G10.212 is a sealed unit — it measures to a tenth of a second and also carries ADD and SPLIT functions, alongside an end-of-life indicator so the battery's departure does not go unannounced. The trade-off for that sealed construction is that the movement cannot be serviced beyond a battery change, which is worth understanding before buying.
