The Gentleman arrived in 2020 as Tissot's answer to a gap in their own range: a clean, automatic dress-casual watch drawing on the restrained geometry of their 1960s work, built entirely in steel and priced to be worn daily without ceremony. The blue dial variant is the one that has attracted the most attention, and it is not difficult to see why — silver stick indices on that ground read clearly without demanding it. At 11.5mm the case sits noticeably flat, and the downward-curving lugs do real work in pulling a 48mm lug-to-lug span closer to the wrist than the number implies.
