The PRX revives a case shape Tissot drew in 1978, and the proportions still read as thoroughly of that moment — the clean integrated bracelet, the flat geometry, the lack of ornament. Decades on, the blue dial receives a honeycomb motif that earns its attention in raking light, and the movement has been considerably improved over anything that could have gone into the original. That movement is the Powermatic 80.111, and its 80-hour reserve is only part of the case for it. The Nivachron hairspring is titanium-based and holds its rate under magnetic fields and temperature swings that would trouble a conventional alloy — useful not as a specification but as insurance for a watch worn daily and unreflectively. The caseback is open, so the rotor and bridge finishing are part of what the watch offers. At 40mm wide and just under 11mm thick, it wears slightly larger than the diameter alone suggests because the integrated bracelet pulls the case flush to the wrist rather than lifting it away — the 47mm lug-to-lug is the truer guide to fit. The rose gold PVD on both case and bracelet runs warm against the blue dial without tipping into contrast for its own sake, and the butterfly clasp adjusts without tools.
