Tissot has held the official timekeeper role in MotoGP since 1999, and the T-Race is the watch that grew directly from that relationship — a motorsport brief translated into something you can wear away from the circuit. The bezel and crown guard are shaped after a brake disc and its caliper, which is the kind of detail that reads as a genuine design decision rather than a badge: the forms make mechanical sense before they make aesthetic sense. The Powermatic 80.111 beneath the caseback is a modified ETA 2824 with two meaningful changes from the standard build. The balance wheel is Nivachron alloy, which holds its rate better under magnetic fields and temperature swings than a conventional brass wheel, and the power reserve has been extended to 80 hours — useful for a watch worn at weekends and left in a drawer mid-week. At 11.30mm, the case is neither thin nor chunky for a 41mm automatic with 100m capability, and the rose gold PVD against a black sunray dial is a sharper contrast than the all-black sibling reference. The skeleton plongeur hands and ribbed rubber strap keep it firmly in sport territory regardless of the warmer case finish.
