The SRV traces a deliberate line: a 1975 Tissot that was itself a revival of the house's Art Deco work from the 1920s, with the name encoding the design — Sapphire Rectangle V, the V standing for the five-bar water resistance rendered as a Roman numeral. The octagonal case, at 21.8mm wide, sits closer to jewellery proportions than a round sports watch, and the champagne dial with Roman numerals at twelve and six reads cleanly against the yellow gold PVD without fuss.
