The V-Circle Manifesto Edition is built around Versace's most recognisable decorative motif: the Greek key pattern runs the bezel and reappears as a metal band along the leather strap, so the design reads as a complete object rather than a case and strap assembled separately. At 8mm thick, a 42mm gold PVD case sits considerably flatter than its footprint might suggest, which keeps it from pulling away from the wrist and lets it move between dressed and casual contexts without the self-consciousness of a bulkier fashion watch. The black dial provides enough contrast for the luminous hands to be genuinely useful rather than decorative, and the small seconds sub-dial gives the face a considered asymmetry that breaks up what would otherwise be a very spare layout.

Gianni Versace founded his house in Milan in 1978 and built it on maximalism — bold prints, Greek key borders, and the Medusa head he took from the floor of the Roman ruins he played in as a child. Donatella Versace took over after his death in 1997.
