The V-Ray is Versace's attempt to put the house's maximalist vocabulary onto a chronograph that reads as a sports watch first. The Greek key texture pressed into the silver dial is the tell — it is not decorative in the way an appliqué would be, but woven into the surface so the Versace identity runs through the object rather than sitting on top of it. Gold-plated steel with a fixed tachymeter bezel and three subdials is a deliberately heavy combination, and at 44mm it wears accordingly: this is not a watch that disappears. The black calfskin strap with red contrast stitching keeps the wrist side lighter than the case warrants, and a deployment clasp means the fit stays consistent rather than drifting hole to hole. The screw-down caseback is a considered detail on a watch at this level of finish, and at 12mm the case sits flatter than the dial complexity might suggest.
