The square case and the sunray green dial with its Medusa head at twelve are straightforwardly Versace: the watch does not attempt to look like anything else. At 30mm with a lug-to-lug span of 36mm, it sits neatly on a smaller wrist without crowding it, and the integrated two-tone bracelet closes flush via a hidden butterfly clasp, giving the piece a continuous, unbroken profile on the wrist — more in keeping with a bracelet than a conventional watch on a strap. Gianni Versace founded his house in Milan in 1978 and built it on maximalism — bold prints, Greek key borders, and the Medusa head he took from the floor of the Roman ruins he played in as a child. Donatella Versace took over after his death in 1997.
The watches are Swiss made, produced through Timex Group's Swiss division, and carry the house iconography prominently: Medusa medallions on dials and crowns, Greca patterns on bezels and bracelets.
