The V-Circle collection is Versace's studied attempt to do something the house does not always manage: pull back. The Medusa head sits at twelve o'clock as a mark rather than a centrepiece, and the rest of the dial — silver-grey with a textured finish and gold-tone hands — is left to breathe around it. At 38mm the watch reads as a dress piece, and the slim case keeps it that way on the wrist, sitting low enough to disappear beneath a sleeve rather than announce itself.
