Stepping up in Vivienne Westwood's range

Price range £140 to £325 across 50 Vivienne Westwood watches in stock.

The Little Camberwell is Vivienne Westwood's compact dress watch, built around the orb motif she has placed at 12 o'clock across her watch range for decades — less a brand marking than a recurring signature, present here in the same spirit as the safety pin and the tartan. On a champagne sunray dial, it reads as a deliberate choice: the surface shifts with the light, giving the baton and dot indexes a quiet depth that flat colour would not. At 29mm and 8.4mm thick, it sits close to the wrist without crowding it, and the 67g bracelet has enough weight to feel considered without pulling the cuff down. The butterfly clasp sits flush against the underside of the wrist, which matters more than it sounds on a watch worn daily with shirts and blouses.

Learn more about Vivienne Westwood

Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren opened a shop at 430 King's Road in 1971, and over the next few years it became the outfitter of British punk. Westwood went on to become one of the most decorated designers Britain has produced, with the orb logo — a sovereign's orb with a Saturn ring — as the house signature from 1987.

The watches are licensed rather than made in-house, produced under agreement by a British accessories manufacturer and sold through department stores and jewellers.

They carry the house language directly: the orb on the crown or the dial, tartan and heritage-check straps, asymmetric cases, and a willingness to be decorative that most watch brands avoid. Quartz movements, fashion pricing.

Westwood died in 2022. The house continues, and the watch line with it.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch

Can I swim with it?

Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.

Water resistance explained

Will the glass scratch?

It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.

Sapphire, mineral and acrylic compared

Does it need a battery?

Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.

Quartz, automatic and solar compared

What size strap does it take?

14mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.

Is it a men's or women's watch?

Listed as women's.
