The DS-2 name goes back to 1968 and the Double Security concept Certina built around it: O-ring seals on the stem, twin gaskets on the crown, a reinforced caseback. On a watch this dressed, that engineering sits quietly in the background, but 100 metres of water resistance on a gold-toned bracelet piece is a genuine rarity rather than a marketing figure. The tonneau case shape keeps 27.8mm from reading small — it fills the wrist proportionally, and the full yellow gold PVD across both case and bracelet gives the whole thing a coherence that separate-toned combinations rarely achieve.
