Stepping up in Diesel's range
The D-Sruptor's silhouette is designed around integration — the green PVD coating runs continuously from case to bracelet, so the whole thing reads as a single object rather than a head sitting on a separate strap. Against that dark green surround, the silver sunray dial with its gradient green overlay creates a genuine contrast rather than a monochrome exercise. At 10mm thick and 42mm across, it sits flatter than its visual weight suggests, and the proportions are considered enough that it does not overwhelm a medium wrist. The 14mm lug connection is narrow for a case this size, which is the cost of the integrated design — bracelet swapping is effectively ruled out, so the green PVD had better be a commitment.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
