Stepping up in Diesel's range
The Mega Chief lives up to its name with a 51mm case in polished and brushed 316L stainless steel — a deliberately oversized, industrial presence on the wrist. The two-layer silver dial arranges three chronograph subdials across the face: a 1/10th-second counter at 12 o'clock, a 60-second subdial at 6, and a 60-minute register at 9. A fixed crown guard frames the date window at 3, and a large Arabic numeral anchors the 12. Luminous hands aid legibility in low light. The matching steel bracelet fastens with a push-button deployment clasp.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
