The signature detail is a pair of steel roll-bar arches that wrap across the crystal at the nine and three positions — a structural-looking element that would not be out of place on protective equipment, and which gives the watch a silhouette immediately distinct from anything else on a grey dial at this size. At 48mm with a 55mm lug-to-lug span, it wears as large as it looks and is honest about that. The grey sunray dial reads clearly against the deeper gunmetal of the case and bracelet, with enough contrast between surfaces to keep the whole thing from flattening into one dark mass. On the wrist it sits with some presence — this is not a watch that disappears under a cuff, and it makes no attempt to. Link removal is done by pressing out the pins individually, so bracelet sizing takes a few minutes and the right tool rather than a quick adjustment at the clasp. The deployant fastening itself is secure once sized correctly.
