Stepping up in Diesel's range
At 51mm across and 15mm thick, the Mega Chief wears large on the wrist, with a round grey PVD case that makes no attempt at restraint. The grey dial carries chronograph sub-dials alongside a date display, with luminous hands and markers for low-light legibility. A mineral crystal sits over the dial, and water resistance reaches 100 metres. The 26mm lug width leads into a black nylon and silicone strap fastened with a pin buckle. At 141g, the watch has a deliberate, substantial presence when worn.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
