Diesel's Griffed line has always been direct about what it is: a large, confrontational chronograph aimed at wrists that want to be noticed. At 48mm this sits well beyond conventional proportions, and the grey sunray dial catches directional light in a way that gives the multi-register face some depth despite its size. The gunmetal finish on both case and bracelet reads as a single continuous surface rather than a contrast, which keeps something this broad from feeling cluttered. The two-tone accent prevents it from being a flat wash of dark metal, and the folding clasp on a 22mm bracelet handles the weight without the slop you sometimes get on fashion-end steel bracelets at this width.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
