Gucci G-Timeless watch, 40mm
Ref. YA126390
Sits in Gucci’s upper tier here — more premium than three quarters of the Gucci watches we list, which start at £499.
Price range £499 to £8,130 across 56 Gucci watches in stock. The G-Timeless collection is Gucci's argument that a fashion house can operate on watchmaking's own terms rather than simply applying its name to a dial. This piece makes that case through restraint: the interlocking G appears on the sunray silver dial as a motif rather than a logo, the gold-plated baton indices sit quietly against the silver, and the small seconds sub-dial above six o'clock gives the composition a technical anchor that earns the automatic movement beneath. At 40mm the case sits at a size that reads as a dress watch without committing entirely to formality, and the bracelet integrates closely enough to the case that the overall profile is neater than it might be. The deployment clasp handles daily removal without stretching the bracelet over time. The Swiss-made movement carries a 42-hour power reserve — workmanlike rather than exceptional, but well suited to a watch worn four or five days out of seven without winding.

Learn more about Gucci
Guccio Gucci opened a leather goods shop in Florence in 1921, and the house became one of the defining Italian luxury brands of the twentieth century.
Gucci's watches occupy unusual ground. Unlike most fashion houses, Gucci produces in Switzerland through its own facility in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and the watches carry Swiss Made designation. The G-Timeless line uses Swiss quartz and automatic movements, and recent references have included in-house-adjacent complications.
The design language is unmistakably Gucci — the green-red-green web stripe, the interlocking Gs, bee and snake motifs — applied to cases that are generally well proportioned. It sits above the licensed-fashion category without claiming to compete with the Swiss manufactures.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.
Will the glass scratch?
Unlikely. Sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness and shrugs off everyday marking.
Does it need a battery?
No. It is automatic — the motion of your wrist winds it, and there is no cell to replace.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's, though at 40mm it sits in the range that suits anyone.
Cheapest place to buy
Goldsmiths is the only UK retailer we track stocking this reference, so there is nothing to compare it against today.
Who are Goldsmiths?
Goldsmiths has been selling watches in Britain since 1778 and is part of the Watches of Switzerland Group, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. They are an authorised dealer, so a watch comes with the manufacturer’s own warranty.
