The Jazzmaster line began as Hamilton's answer to a particular kind of dressing — the kind that does not need a watch to announce itself. At 7.8mm thick, this reference sits remarkably flat for a 40mm case, sliding under a shirt cuff without lifting it, which is not something most watches in this bracket can claim honestly. The black sunray-brushed dial catches directional light in a way a flat-painted surface never would, giving it quiet movement without anything on it competing for attention. The ETA F06.105 also carries an end-of-life indicator — the seconds hand begins jumping in multi-second intervals when the battery is running low, so the watch tells you before it stops rather than after.
