The Circular 1 was built around a single, deliberate constraint: nothing new, nothing wasted. The case is drawn from recycled steel sourced in the Jura, the movement is a refurbished ETA 2824 rather than a freshly machined one, and the strap is woven from vegetal textile rather than cut from leather. The packaging is made from mycelium and goes into a compost bin. These are not gestures — they are the founding logic of the brand, and every material choice in the watch traces back to it. On the wrist the dial earns attention in a way the word "grey" does not quite prepare you for. The laser-engraved texture catches light obliquely and shifts in a way a printed surface cannot, and the applied indexes sit cleanly above it. At 9.65mm the case is neither slim nor thick for its 41mm width — it sits honestly on the wrist, with no pretension to a dress profile it was never designed to carry. The fabric strap wears softer than it looks and will settle quickly.
