ID Genève built the Circular S around a single conviction: that the materials a watch is made from matter as much as how it keeps time. The case is stainless steel produced through a solar-melting process that reduces its carbon footprint to a fraction of conventionally smelted industry-standard steel — not a marginal improvement but a transformation in how the raw material is made. The strap is bio-sourced vegetal textile, entirely free of animal products, and the deployant clasp means it fastens with the kind of security usually associated with metal bracelets. The yellow sun-brushed dial is the one indulgence in an otherwise restrained proposition: it catches directional light in a way a flat-painted surface would not, shifting between gold and amber depending on the angle, and it gives the watch a character that sits at an odd, interesting distance from its environmental credentials. At 41mm on a fabric strap, it wears lighter than its dimensions suggest.
