The half hunter format has an elegant logic to it: the hinged lid stays closed, the time is read through the front window, and the Roman numerals engraved around that aperture make the piece legible without disturbing the case. Here, Jean Pierre adds a moonphase complication visible through the same window, so both the time and the lunar cycle can be checked at a glance, lid shut, chain still pocketed. At 30mm the case is compact even by pocket watch standards, which suits a waistcoat pocket without bulk. The champagne dial behind the lid carries the date just above six o'clock, and the plain polished caseback is left deliberately blank — the obvious candidate for a personal engraving, and the Albert chain in matching gold plate completes the set without any mismatch in tone.
