The Conquest name has been part of Longines since 1954 — the first collection the brand thought worth registering as intellectual property, which tells you something about how seriously it was taken. Seven decades on, this 30mm version sits in the main Conquest line, carrying that unbroken identity into a quietly capable everyday watch. The white sandblasted dial catches light without glancing it, and the rose gold-coloured hands read cleanly against it at a glance. At 8.3mm thick it wears flat against the wrist, and the triple safety deployant clasp — with its push-piece release — is more secure than it needs to be for a watch rated to 100 metres, which is the kind of overbuilding that tends to matter after a few years of daily use.
