The Successo line takes its design cues directly from Maserati's sports car radiator grilles, and that heritage shows clearly on the dial: a deep blue sunray surface textured with grid-like graphics, three sub-dials, and rose gold-tone accents that echo the brand's two-tone livery. The Trident logo sits at twelve o'clock where a tachymeter might otherwise be, which tells you exactly what kind of watch Maserati intends this to be. The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
