The Divers Sixty-Five has run continuously from the original 1965 model, but this version marks two firsts for the line: it is the first to bring the Calibre 400 outside of a limited run, and the first Sixty-Five fitted with a 12-hour bi-directional bezel — a layout borrowed from military tool watches of the same era, where a second timezone read more naturally than a 24-hour scale. The Calibre 400 is where the real argument is made. Oris developed it in-house with a silicon escapement, resistance well beyond the ISO anti-magnetic standard, and a 120-hour power reserve — then backed it with a ten-year warranty and ten-year service intervals. That last point is the practical one: most automatic movements expect a visit to a watchmaker at roughly half that interval. At 40mm with a 48mm lug span it sits proportionally on a mid-sized wrist, and despite the domed crystal the case wears noticeably slimmer than its stated thickness suggests. The black leather strap with white accent stitching keeps the reference to the sixties legible without being laboured about it.
