The Artelier Complication returned at Watches and Wonders 2026 as a quieter, more considered thing than the model it succeeds. Lena Huwiler, Oris's 24-year-old product design engineer, stripped out the day and date sub-dials that had cluttered earlier versions, leaving only a moonphase at twelve and a 24-hour second time zone at six. What remains is a dial built in distinct layers: a curved outer ring with stepped applied indices, a textured central disc, and a moonphase whose star-patterned cover nearly dissolves into the background — visible when the light finds it, absent when it does not. At 39.5mm and 11.8mm thick, this sits at a size where a dress complication can still disappear beneath a shirt cuff, and the dark chestnut leather on a butterfly clasp keeps the whole thing close to the wrist. The calibre 782 inside shares its architecture with the SW200-1 base but has shed the gearing for those deleted indications; the red Oris rotor is visible through a mineral-glass display caseback, a small distinction worth knowing before you expect sapphire on both sides.
