Police Forever Batman Black Leather Strap Watch - Limited Edition - W44145
Ref. PEWGD0022601
A licensed collaboration between Police and DC, limited to 10,000 pieces worldwide, this is built around the Batman identity rather than worn loosely around it. The matte black dial carries a semi-transparent layer that keeps the Bat symbol present without printing it flat — it sits in the dial rather than on it, visible depending on how the light falls. Press the side button and the backlight comes up green, which is a considered choice: not the obvious blue or white, and it reinforces the nocturnal character of the whole thing. At 45mm across and 13.5mm deep, this wears large and makes no apology for it. Both Police and Batman branding appear on the case itself, so the collaboration is declared from every angle. The textured leather strap is in keeping — softer in feel than a rubber alternative would be, and appropriate for something that is as much a collector's object as a daily wear.

Learn more about Police
Police began in Italy in 1983 as an eyewear brand under the Vogue and later De Rigo groups, and built its identity on sunglasses worn by film and music figures through the 1980s and 1990s.
The watches are licensed rather than made in-house, produced under agreement by a specialist watch manufacturer and sold through jewellers and department stores alongside the eyewear and fragrance.
Design follows the label: heavy cases, dark PVD finishes, exposed screws and industrial detailing, skull and heraldic motifs, and a masculine, deliberately loud aesthetic that changes with the season rather than the decade.
Movements are quartz, occasionally multi-function, and prices sit in the fashion-watch bracket.
Taken as an accessory that matches a particular look, the range does what it sets out to. It is not a watchmaking company and does not present itself as one.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's.
