The Florence takes its name from the Tuscan city, and the black dial with its four diamond indexes — set at the cardinal hours rather than scattered decoratively — carries something of that city's discipline: ornament placed where it has a structural reason to be. The rhodium-plated hands and the fixed ceramic bezel read as a considered contrast against the silver bracelet rather than a mismatch.
