The pine green dial, the cathedral hands, the Arabic numerals — all of it maps back to the original Laurel Alpinist, and the Mountain Device mark on the caseback carries over from the vintage piece as a signal of field intent rather than decoration. At 39.5mm the case sits modestly on the wrist, which is appropriate: a watch worn in gloves needs a low profile more than a commanding one.
