The Le Locle was created in 2003 to mark Tissot's 150th anniversary, taking its name from the Swiss Jura town where the brand has made watches since 1853. That heritage sits visibly in the dial: the clous de Paris guilloche — a field of tiny raised pyramids — catches and scatters light in a way a printed pattern cannot, and on this green version twelve diamond hour markers replace the usual Roman numerals, each stone 8/8 single-cut and graded Top Wesselton. The rose gold PVD coating on both case and bracelet places this apart from the plain steel and yellow gold variants in the same 29mm family. At 29mm it is sized for a slender wrist, and at 8.95mm it lies close against the skin without feeling insubstantial — 77g with the bracelet on. The butterfly clasp opens with a push on each side, which makes it easier to put on single-handed than a standard fold-over. The automatic movement carries Tissot's Nivachron balance spring, a titanium-based alloy developed specifically to resist the magnetic fields that ordinary hairsprings encounter daily — phones, laptop keyboards, bag clasps. The caseback is see-through, so the oscillating rotor is visible, and the 48-hour power reserve means a weekend off the wrist will not stop it before Monday morning.
