The PRC 100 has been in Tissot's lineup since the mid-2000s, and this 34mm solar variant represents its most considered evolution: the Lightmaster technology hides photovoltaic cells within the sapphire crystal itself, honeycomb-structured and nearly invisible, so the dial gives nothing away. Power feeds into a rechargeable accumulator that sustains the watch for up to 14 months in complete darkness — and if the reserve ever does run down entirely, the second hand shifts to four-second jumps as a warning rather than simply stopping. The 12-sided bezel adds visual mass that the case diameter alone does not suggest, and a 44.6mm lug-to-lug means the watch spans the wrist more generously than a bare 34mm figure implies. The mesh bracelet is finely articulated rather than stiff, and the solid caseback keeps the profile clean.
