Le Locle was created to mark Tissot's 150th anniversary, named after the Swiss Jura town where the brand was founded. The dial pattern traces back to the clock face on the Le Locle church tower — an actual piece of the town's architecture translated into something worn on the wrist. At 25mm, this is a watch scaled for dressier purposes: it sits close and flat, reads as jewellery without abandoning legibility, and the eight single-cut diamonds set at the hour positions are graded Top Wesselton, VS-SI clarity — a specification that matters at this scale, where the stones are prominent rather than decorative filler. Roman numerals and the Le Locle signature fill the silver dial in the manner of a miniature clock face, which is precisely what it was meant to evoke. The exhibition caseback is the detail worth turning the watch over for. The ETA 2671 is one of the few automatic movements compact enough to fit a 25mm case without compromise, and seeing it run — 38 hours of reserve wound into a movement barely 17mm across — closes the connection between the church clock that inspired the dial and the mechanism keeping time beneath it.
