Stepping up in Diesel's range
At 51mm across and 204g, the Mega Chief occupies the wrist with considerable force. The case and bracelet are finished in grey PVD, giving the whole piece a uniform, low-contrast look that suits the scale. A fixed grey ion-plated bezel frames the grey dial, which carries chronograph subdials, a date display, and luminous hands and indices. The mineral crystal sits above it all, with the stainless steel bracelet fastening via a deployant clasp. Water resistance runs to 100 metres.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
