Stepping up in Diesel's range
The Griffed sits large at 48mm in black PVD, with a case thickness of 13mm giving it a substantial presence on the wrist. Against the dark exterior, the gold sunray dial creates a sharp contrast, laid out with three subdials tracking stopwatch seconds, a 30-minute timer, and a 24-hour display, alongside a date window. The stainless steel bracelet carries a black PVD finish and fastens with a two-pusher foldover safety clasp. Hands and markers are luminous, and the dial is protected by scratch-resistant mineral glass. Water resistance stands at 50 metres.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
